Final Numbers!

Wow! This is so awesome. After a summer of great events, meeting new people with a heart for global missions and community outreach, I am so pleased and thankful that God has allowed me to be a part of Stand Up For Missions. My goal for this year was $100,000. Last year we we raised just over $30,000, so I wanted to really reach higher. This year, we did fewer shows and ended up getting more money committed to projects and ministries. $51,009! Thanks to everyone who bought a ticket and sat through my act again. I will be getting started on 2011 real soon. Remember it takes just a little from all of us to bring the arms of Jesus to every city and town and village all over the world. "...With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God." Mark 10:27 Blessings to you all from the Pacific Northwest! Jerry

Totals Coming In

Hey everyone, it has been a long hot summer and the last of the shows are completed. The totals are coming in a little slow but the last few to the end of July has brought the total commitment of funds for global missions and local outreach to a bit over $23,000. We still have to account for four more shows. Blessings to Randy and Christine Balling at Well Church as well as Brandon and Courtney Young from Rock Church. Three great events!

Moorpark

Maybe one of my favorite names for a city - Moorpark. It's so direct and to the point. I just picture the city engineer at her desk, looking at a map, wondering what would be the next best step for the city, "More park!" Saturday July 24, Life Spring Community Church - bring your friends! To date we have reached just over $15,000 in funds raised and committed for global missions and local outreach. Thanks to pastor Brad at Redeemer Covenant in Downey for once again hosting Stand Up For Missions 2010. Once again, their crowd was fun and supportive. Maybe 2011? I hope so.

Where does the time go?

Anyone? The days just crank on by, like white-water rafting. Don't take your eyes off what's coming up. A few more shows in the back pocket on this journey to raise money and awareness for missionaries far and near. That's right, you don't have to get on a plane and fly half way around the world to have an impact for the kingdom. So many folks think that global impact is "out there" somewhere. Forgetting that they too reside on a God chosen piece of that globe. We can serve in our own communities and reach out to those right here in front of us. I am still waiting for numbers to come in, but it looks like we are fast approaching last years number and we still have at least 6 shows to go! Keep your spirits high!

India Fund Raiser

Saturday night, June 12 New Song Church LA hosted the event for Here's Life Inner City. What a night. An old friend from my early days of comedy blessed us with an opening set. Tom Green we thank you. I hope this is a start for him to continue to bless folks through comedy. The team headed for India shared with us their thoughts and prayers. If you would like to follow them, you can. hlicindia.blogspot.com Personally, I really felt the spirit moving and the Lord lifted me to a place where I could see past my limitations. Thank you Jesus. After four events the total financial commitment is up to $12,100!

Let's raise some money!

Last year we raised just a drop over $30,000! This year the goal is $100,000! This is an opportunity for a lot of people to get together for a night of fun, to share just a little that will go a long way. Will you join me?
